Purpose
The purpose of this blog is to create an environment to organize thoughts about the creative process through collaboration. I heard on NPR (National Public Radio), Garrison Keillor say that writing helps to organize your thoughts (probably not his exact words).
Who Am I
I have become interested in writing and organizing my thoughts. In the last several months I have been interested in looking up words that I already know but wanted to be sure I knew the precise meaning. I have a very technical background in computer programming. I have done consulting in this field and found that a very satisfying endeavor. Most recently I have been working on verbalizing and writing my thoughts.
I got interested many years ago about how a subject is developed as two people talked: Each inputting his or her ideas. That is when I discovered that "two heads are better than one". I began to think about that process and thought I should write a book about the subject of how two heads are better that one. Well, I never wrote the book, but I never stopped thinking about the subject. This blog is the beginning of the process to get it started.
The first influence in my life that got me started thinking about the dynamics of collaboration we about 1972 when I was introduced to soap company that sold me on the idea of personal growth. While I stopped the association with that company, I never stopped working on personal growth. I attended seminars about personal growth and read many books: The first being "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. In that book he talked about something called master minding. I found that to be an intriguing process. I have made small attempts at putting it to work with friends and work associates. That never developed into anything. This blog is my attempt at reaching a larger audience, connecting with people that share common interests in collaboration.
While the collaborative process started with creating business ideas: it does not stop there for me. In my mind collaboration is intermingled with many ideas and events that come to mind.
